The ''Journal of Human Evolution'' is a monthly peer-reviewed scientific journal in the field of evolution, specializing in human and primate evolution. The journal was established in 1972 and is published by Elsevier in print and online on ScienceDirect. As of November 2015, the journal was on its 88th volume. The editors-in-chief are Sarah Elton (Durham University) and Mike Plavcan (University of Arkansas).
